La energ\u00eda m\u00ednima de inflamaci\u00f3n se va reduciendo en la medida en que disminuye el tama\u00f1o de las part\u00edculas y en la medida en que aumenta la temperatura.<\/p>\n<p>El aparato consiste en un tubo Hartmann modificado de vidrio. En el centro del tubo se encuentran dos taladros para introducir los electrodos que pueden inducir una energ\u00eda entre 1 mJ y 1.000 mJ. En el fondo del aparato se halla un sistema de dispersi\u00f3n de polvo que levanta con una presi\u00f3n neum\u00e1tica de 7 bar el polvo dentro del aparato, produciendo una mezcla de polvo y aire de diferentes concentraciones. El encendido de la mezcla tiene lugar en los electrodos. Los experimentos se realizan con diferentes tiempos de retraso del encendido y diferentes energ\u00edas de encendido. La valoraci\u00f3n de los resultados experimentales tiene lugar en forma visual. El an\u00e1lisis de la energ\u00eda m\u00ednima de inflamaci\u00f3n puede tener lugar tanto a temperatura ambiente como tambi\u00e9n a temperatura elevada.
