Elles sont absolument indispensables \u00e0 la d\u00e9termination de donn\u00e9es significatives encore plus pouss\u00e9es en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, comme par exemple pour l\u2019\u00e9valuation d\u2019une g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de chaleur ou d\u2019une quantit\u00e9 de chaleur sp\u00e9cifique par le biais des temp\u00e9ratures mesur\u00e9es. Une technique utilis\u00e9e pour la d\u00e9termination de certaines de ces donn\u00e9es thermophysiques est la m\u00e9thode <em>de la source plane transitoire<\/em> (disque chaud) conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 la norme ISO 22007-2.<\/p>\n<p>A l\u2019aide d\u2019une telle mesure Hot Disk, il est possible, \u00e0 partir d\u2019une s\u00e9rie de mesures, de d\u00e9terminer la conductivit\u00e9 thermique <em>\u03bb<\/em>, la diffusivit\u00e9 thermique <em>a<\/em> ainsi que la capacit\u00e9 calorifique sp\u00e9cifique par unit\u00e9 de volume <em>s<\/em>. La capacit\u00e9 calorifique sp\u00e9cifique par unit\u00e9 de volume est convertie en capacit\u00e9 calorifique sp\u00e9cifique <em>c<sub>p<\/sub><\/em> \u00e0 partir de la densit\u00e9 en vrac pr\u00e9alablement mesur\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Pour effectuer cette mesure, on place la substance \u00e0 tester dans une forme sp\u00e9ciale \u00e0 volume variable et on en quantifie la masse afin de calculer la densit\u00e9 en vrac de l\u2019\u00e9chantillon relativement au volume concern\u00e9. On introduit ensuite la sonde du disque chaud en position horizontale et de mani\u00e8re centr\u00e9e dans l\u2019\u00e9prouvette remplie. La sonde sert d\u2019une part de source de chauffage et d\u2019autre part de capteur de temp\u00e9rature dynamique. A l\u2019aide d\u2019une \u00e9nergie de chauffage \u00e9lectrique d\u00e9termin\u00e9e (mW) et \u00e0 raison d\u2019une dur\u00e9e de mesure pr\u00e9d\u00e9finie (s), on fournit une quantit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9nergie d\u00e9finie \u00e0 la sonde plac\u00e9e au milieu de l\u2019\u00e9prouvette, tout en mesurant parall\u00e8lement les variations de temp\u00e9rature de l\u2019\u00e9chantillon \u00e0 tester.<\/p>\n<p>Les donn\u00e9es de mesure ainsi recueillies, telles que la capacit\u00e9 thermique, peuvent \u00eatre par exemple utilis\u00e9es pour l\u2019\u00e9valuation d\u2019une exp\u00e9rience de mesures adiabatiques en panier m\u00e9tallique, ou encore pour l\u2019\u00e9valuation d\u2019une exp\u00e9rience d\u2019accumulation de chaleur et de pression adiabatique. La connaissance de la capacit\u00e9 thermique pr\u00e9cise d\u2019un \u00e9chantillon permet \u00e9galement de d\u00e9terminer des caract\u00e9ristiques de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 encore plus pr\u00e9cises.<\/p>\n<p>Il est possible d\u2019exploiter d\u2019une mani\u00e8re encore plus approfondie la caract\u00e9ristique de la diffusivit\u00e9 thermique <em>a<\/em>, en l\u2019utilisant notamment en association avec certains param\u00e8tres cin\u00e9tiques (principe d\u2018Arrhenius, cin\u00e9tique d\u2019ordre z\u00e9ro) issus d\u2019une exp\u00e9rience d\u2019accumulation de chaleur et de pression adiabatique.
