On surveille si l\u2019a\u00e9rosol s\u2019enflamme et s\u2019il se produit une flamme stable. On entend par inflammation et combustion entretenue une flamme stable qui se maintient pendant au moins 5 secondes. La source d\u2019inflammation consiste en un bec Bunsen produisant une flamme bleue, non lumineuse, de 4 \u00e0 5 cm de hauteur.<br \/>\nSi l\u2019on ne constate pas d\u2019inflammation au cours de cette \u00e9preuve, il faut recourir \u00e0 l\u2018\u00e9preuve d\u2019inflammation dans un espace clos.<\/p>\n<p>La classification s\u2019effectue de la mani\u00e8re suivante :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0L\u2019a\u00e9rosol doit \u00eatre class\u00e9 comme extr\u00eamement inflammable, si une inflammation se produit \u00e0 une distance sup\u00e9rieure ou \u00e9gale \u00e0 75 cm.<\/li>\n<li>L\u2019a\u00e9rosol doit \u00eatre class\u00e9 comme inflammable, si une inflammation se produit \u00e0 une distance sup\u00e9rieure ou \u00e9gale \u00e0 15 cm mais inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 75 cm.<\/li>\n<li>Si aucune inflammation ne se produit ou s\u2019il se produit une inflammation inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 15 cm, c\u2019est le r\u00e9sultat de l\u2019\u00e9preuve d\u2019inflammation dans un espace clos qui sera applicable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>\u00c9preuve dans un espace clos (f\u00fbt) pour a\u00e9rosols vaporis\u00e9s<\/h3>\n<p>La pr\u00e9sente \u00e9preuve est utilis\u00e9e pour les a\u00e9rosols ayant une port\u00e9e de vaporisation \u2265 15 cm, lorsqu\u2019aucune inflammation ne s\u2019est produite lors de l\u2019\u00e9preuve d\u2019inflammation \u00e0 distance.<\/p>\n<p>Le contenu d\u2019un g\u00e9n\u00e9rateur d\u2019a\u00e9rosol est vaporis\u00e9 dans un r\u00e9cipient d\u2019essai cylindrique contenant une bougie allum\u00e9e (Figure 5). S\u2019il se produit une inflammation visible, on note le temps \u00e9coul\u00e9 ainsi que la quantit\u00e9 d\u2019a\u00e9rosol vaporis\u00e9 afin d\u2019\u00e9valuer la facilit\u00e9 d\u2019inflammation de l\u2019atomiseur<\/p>\n<p>La classification doit \u00eatre effectu\u00e9e de la mani\u00e8re suivante :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>L\u2019a\u00e9rosol doit \u00eatre class\u00e9 comme inflammable, lorsque le temps \u00e9quivalent au cours de l\u2019\u00e9preuve en espace clos est inf\u00e9rieur ou \u00e9gal \u00e0 300 s\/m3 ou lorsque la densit\u00e9 de d\u00e9flagration est inf\u00e9rieure ou \u00e9gale \u00e0 300 g\/m3.<\/li>\n<li>Dans le cas contraire, il convient de classer l\u2019a\u00e9rosol comme ininflammable. Pour ce classement, il faut \u00e9galement avoir d\u00e9termin\u00e9 une enthalpie de combustion inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 20 kJ\/g.
