Elle peut \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme une grandeur pour l\u2019auto-inflammabilit\u00e9 d\u2019une substance ou d\u2019un m\u00e9lange (comp. r\u00e8glement CE 440\/2008).<\/p>\n<p>De m\u00eame que pour le point d\u2019\u00e9clair, la temp\u00e9rature d\u2019inflammation d\u2019une substance ou d\u2019un m\u00e9lange n\u2019est pas une constante physico-chimique propre \u00e0 la substance. Des facteurs d\u00e9terminants peuvent \u00eatre ici par exemple le volume de l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re ou la nature de la surface chaude et la quantit\u00e9 de substance.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le cadre d\u2019un essai d\u2019inflammation, on introduit une quantit\u00e9 d\u00e9finie d\u2019un \u00e9chantillon \u00e0 tester dans une fiole Erlenmeyer ouverte et \u00e0 temp\u00e9rature r\u00e9gul\u00e9e, chauff\u00e9e dans un four \u00e9lectrique. On observe si, \u00e0 une temp\u00e9rature respectivement s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9e, une inflammation de la quantit\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9chantillon se produit \u00e0 la surface de la fiole Erlenmeyer dans le laps de temps imparti. En premier lieu, on d\u00e9termine la temp\u00e9rature la plus basse \u00e0 laquelle on ne constate plus d\u2019inflammation, puis on fait \u00e9voluer la quantit\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9chantillon (1 \u00e0 10 gouttes). Le dosage peut s\u2019effectuer manuellement ou au moyen d\u2019un dispositif de dosage automatique.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=\u00a0\u00bb9786&Prime; img_size=\u00a0\u00bbfull\u00a0\u00bb alignment=\u00a0\u00bbcenter\u00a0\u00bb][vc_column_text]<em>Structure sch\u00e9matique de l\u2019appareillage d\u2019essai<\/em><\/p>\n<p>La d\u00e9termination de la temp\u00e9rature d\u2019inflammation s\u2019effectue entre autres selon l\u2019une ou l\u2019autre des normes DIN 51794 et DIN EN 14522, dont les m\u00e9thodes de mesure sont pratiquement semblables.
