Il est en effet l\u2019indicateur qui permet de contr\u00f4ler de quelle mani\u00e8re les poussi\u00e8res d\u00e9pos\u00e9es s\u2019enflamment et se comportent apr\u00e8s l\u2019inflammation.<\/p>\n<p>Le comportement au feu est \u00e9galement souvent int\u00e9ressant, en particulier pour les processus de s\u00e9chage. De ce fait, il est \u00e9galement possible de quantifier l\u2019indice de combustion \u00e0 une temp\u00e9rature \u00e9lev\u00e9e de 100\u00b0 C, \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 qu\u2019il se traduit souvent par d\u2019importantes diff\u00e9rences de comportement au feu.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Si l\u2019\u00e9chantillon \u00e0 contr\u00f4ler fond et s\u2019il ne br\u00fble pas en raison de la fusion, on r\u00e9alise alors l\u2019essai avec un m\u00e9lange de 20% en poids de diatomite. La classification pour le transport des mati\u00e8res solides se d\u00e9termine en fonction de leur comportement au feu au moyen de la vitesse de combustion (\u00e9preuve ONU N.1)<\/p>\n<p>L\u00e0 encore, l\u2019indice de combustion peut fournir de pr\u00e9cieuses informations. Lorsque par exemple un indice de combustion de BZ 1 \u2013\u00a0BZ 3 a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9termin\u00e9, rien ne laisse supposer une propagation spontan\u00e9e de l\u2019inflammation de l\u2019\u00e9chantillon \u00e0 tester. Il est ainsi possible de r\u00e9duire le nombre des tests pour la d\u00e9termination de la vitesse de combustion (\u00e9preuve ONU N.1).
