Con il microcalorimetro \u00e8 possibile misurare questo segnale termico con elevata sensibilit\u00e0 e stabilit\u00e0 a lungo termine. Possono essere rilevati flussi di calore nel range \u03bcW\/g.<\/p>\n<p>I campioni possono essere conservati in condizioni isotermiche a temperature comprese tra 4 e 150\u00b0C, da poche ore a diverse settimane. Il principio del metodo \u00e8 un calorimetro a scansione differenziale, uno strumento che misura la differenza tra il flusso termico di un campione e quello di un riferimento. Un sensore termoelettrico reagisce alla differenza di temperatura, generando un potenziale sopra il sensore in base all&#8217;effetto Seebeck. Questo metodo di misurazione \u00e8 un metodo passivo e ideale per le reazioni lente.<\/p>\n<p>Il sistema \u00e8 dotato di un controllo della temperatura molto preciso e di un&#8217;elevata sensibilit\u00e0 calorimetrica, consentendo misurazioni con enorme stabilit\u00e0, basso rapporto segnale-rumore e alta riproducibilit\u00e0. La quantit\u00e0 di campione richiesta \u00e8 di circa 2,5 g o 3,0 ml. Si possono misurare campioni liquidi e solidi.<\/p>\n<p>Questo metodo di misurazione pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato per valutare la stabilit\u00e0 di stoccaggio di un campione esaminato.
